Description
Hare, known as Usagi, ruthlessly enforces the will of the wizard Lord Cob, specializing in abducting isolated or vulnerable individuals for the slave trade. Leading a cadre of subordinates, he deploys deceptive ploys, luring targets with promises of false rewards while openly reveling in his grim duties. His unwavering loyalty to Cob persists even under threat of severe disciplinary measures for failure.

He stalks the shadows of Hort Town and its outskirts, hunting figures linked to Cob’s enemies. During a critical mission, he targets Therru, a child guarded by Tenar, and later engineers Tenar’s capture to ensnare Sparrowhawk in a meticulously laid trap.

Hare’s methods blend cunning pragmatism with myopic focus on immediate results, often overlooking long-term repercussions. Though adept at executing Cob’s commands with calculated cruelty, he lacks foresight, defaulting to brute force and intimidation to assert dominance. His allegiance stems not from ambition but a rigid devotion to Cob’s vision of upheaval and a relentless drive to preserve his own hard-won power.

The character’s origins remain shrouded, defined solely by his function within Cob’s hierarchy.
