Description
Hisui, the youngest and only son of Miroku and Sango, entered the world during his father’s relentless yōkai extermination campaigns, delivered with aid from Kaede and Rin. Raised alongside his mischievous twin sisters, Kin’u and Gyokuto, he endured their teasing while displaying an innate sensitivity to demonic energies, detecting threats like Yotsume unnoticed by others. At four, he journeyed with his family to observe the lunar eclipse marking the birth of Sesshōmaru’s twin daughters.

Mentored by his uncle Kohaku in the yōkai taijiya arts, Hisui claimed his mother’s Hiraikotsu, choosing demon slaying to honor Kohaku’s leadership and carve his identity beyond his sisters’ roles as a nun and weaponsmith. Early estrangement from Miroku, rooted in the monk’s prolonged training absence, dissolved after witnessing his father’s battlefield resolve, fostering mutual respect.

Evolving from a fair-haired child to a teenager with dark olive-green hair tied in a low ponytail and piercing indigo eyes, Hisui donned yōkai bone armor and a teal kosode emblematic of his trade. He occasionally mimicked Kin’u’s appearance and voice, borrowing her nun attire for covert tasks.

Serious and driven, he contrasted Miroku’s past flirtatiousness—a testament to Sango’s upbringing. His combat style blended pragmatism with opportunism, wielding the Hiraikotsu with strength honed through training. Academically exceptional, his literacy allowed him to masquerade as a noble tutor, defying Sengoku-era norms.

A quiet affection for fellow slayer Setsuna colored his actions, prioritizing her safety and masking concern beneath duty. Princess Ayia’s overt advances added complexity, though he remained steadfast. Bonds with his sisters stayed lighthearted yet loyal, exemplified by aiding Kin’u’s etiquette subterfuge.

Across narratives, Hisui partnered with Moroha and Towa, navigating critiques over his family’s diminished visibility. His arc emphasized allegiance to the slayer corps, reverence for Kohaku’s guidance, and reconciling Miroku’s legacy. Each choice mirrored his parents’ and uncle’s teachings, steadfastly shielding others from harm.
