Description
Gyokuto is the daughter of Miroku and Sango, born with her twin sister Kin'u in Kaede's village. She serves as the older sister to Hisui, whom she witnessed being born during her early childhood in the family's village home. There, she frequently interacted with members of Inuyasha's group, including playful tugging at Inuyasha's dog-like ears alongside Kin'u and energetic roughhousing with Shippō.
As a toddler, she wore her dark brown hair in a small ponytail fastened by a white ribbon, with short bangs across her forehead. Her typical outfit was a pink kimono adorned with yellow bows and a rose-colored sash, completed by brown woven sandals. She displayed characteristic childhood curiosity, such as digging for kudzu roots with Kin'u under Kagome's supervision, though she expressed dismay upon discovering their medicinal rather than edible nature.
In adulthood, Gyokuto resides with Sango in the demon slayer village. Her appearance echoes her youth, maintaining a similar hairstyle while donning an enlarged version of her childhood kimono paired with dark pink mo-bakama tied with a simple bow at her back. She assists her mother in crafting and distributing demon-slaying tools, undertaking duties like gathering intelligence on demon sightings and fulfilling external extermination requests. Her primary combat method employs poison powder to incapacitate demons such as the Takonyudō and other threats.
Gyokuto matures into a gentle, calm, and polite individual, exhibiting understanding and non-judgmental attitudes. She mediates familial conflicts, encouraging her brother Hisui to reconcile with their father Miroku despite Hisui's resentment. Though composed, she retains a fondness for playful antics, engaging with Shippō much as in her youth.
Her narrative involvement remains peripheral across official media, with sparse appearances. She occasionally aids Kin'u in handling sutras or powders, though neither twin received formal combat training from Sango. During rare appearances—like Shippō's visits—both sisters occasionally lapse into childlike behavior reminiscent of their early years. No concrete details exist about her participation in films, OVAs, or spin-offs beyond the core series.
