Description
Glycine Bleumer, a French noblewoman of Norman and Viking descent born April 18, 1907, hails from the aristocratic Bleumer family. This lineage enforces the strict "Bridegroom Test," demanding suitors prove exceptional intelligence, combat prowess, and heritage. Trained from childhood in close combat, Glycine specializes in medieval polearms such as the halberd, favoring an axe paired with a shield or arm-mounted buckler. She pilots a sea-blue Koubu-F unit, reflecting her melee combat focus.

Her personality blends aristocratic pride with fierce responsibility; she believes her status obligates her to foster others' prosperity. Glycine reacts aggressively to perceived slights, often threatening foes and allies alike with her axe. Beneath this volatile exterior lies deep loyalty and protectiveness toward close friends. She shares a longstanding, sisterly bond with Hanabi Kitaoji, who lives with the Bleumer family after the traumatic death of Hanabi's fiancé. Glycine also carefully shields the naive nun Erica Fontaine from emotional harm and social misunderstandings. Her relationship with Lobelia Carlini is contentious, marked by frequent clashes, though they cooperate in crises.

Glycine conceals her role in the Paris Combat Revue's Fleur Division by working under the alias "Blue Eyes" as a dancer at the Chattes Noires cabaret. Her family disapproves of this occupation, and public exposure risks their intervention. She frequently sneaks out of her mansion using excuses devised with her head maid, Tarebou, such as avoiding a family event featuring octopus, which she detests.

In *Sakura Wars: Le Nouveau Paris*, Glycine declares herself the Combat Revue's new captain following Ichiro Ogami's return to Japan, competing for the role. After confronting a centuries-old threat to Paris alongside the team, she ultimately nominates Erica Fontaine as captain in the series' conclusion, gaining unanimous support—a decision highlighting her growth in recognizing strengths beyond her own pride.

A lesser-known aspect is her secret affection for small animals. Glycine becomes visibly enamored with creatures like foxes during forest outings, attempting to conceal this sensitivity due to embarrassment, contrasting her otherwise stern demeanor.
