Her portfolio, bearing her initials "K.I.", is found by the criminal, who also notes her red hair ribbon. After Kumiko reports him to the police with classmate Kyoko Inaba's assistance, the criminal flees. A car crash near a seal leads to a demon possessing him. The demon-possessed man initiates a killing spree targeting girls with the initials "K.I." who wear red ribbons, driven to locate Kumiko based on the clues from her drawing and appearance during their brief encounter.
