Description
Pagos serves as a police officer in Penguin Village, working alongside his partner Gala. Their patrol car is routinely destroyed by Arale Norimaki during her energetic runs through the town.

The character first appeared in the early one-shot manga Wonder Island 2, which introduced prototype versions of several Dr. Slump characters. There, Pagos worked as an officer in "Los Anguiris, Cauliflower," a parody of Los Angeles, alongside early iterations of Gala and another officer named Gyaosu.

Throughout the Dr. Slump series, Pagos and Gala frequently encounter chaos caused by Arale. In one incident, they replace a citizen whose car is smashed by Arale as she steps into the street, establishing a recurring joke. On another occasion, the pair pull over Taro Soramame, Peasuke Soramame, Akane Kimidori, and Arale for operating scooters illegally due to their age, leading to both officers being injured by Arale at the station. They also appear in place of an unnamed officer to speak with Arale and Aoi Kimidori, who are caught peeking over a wall.

Pagos appears in various story arcs including "Arale on the Loose" and "The Lovely Trio." In the chapter "Untouchable," he and Gala attempt to destroy Arale’s car but fail. In another chapter, the two officers follow Arale and Gatchan under suspicion that she is planning something, only to discover she was simply delivering ice cream.

The character crosses over into the Dragon Ball series during the General Blue Saga, where he assists Gala and Taro Soramame in a failed attempt to arrest General Blue. Later, Pagos joins the entire Penguin Village police force in shooting down King Nikochan’s spaceship. He also appears in Dragon Ball Super episode 69, where his squad car is once again destroyed by Arale.

Pagos is featured in the 1997 Dr. Slump remake with an almost identical character design to the original.

The names Pagos and Gala are derived from the Galápagos Islands. Pagos also shares his name with a monster from the Ultraman franchise.
