Ruu Me is a mechanical being residing within a derelict giant battleship adrift in space, encountered there by space pilot Takeru and human computer Martha. She exists alongside another mechanical entity, Sara. Her critical function is delivering an urgent warning to Takeru and Martha: the Gamp, an alien race, approaches Earth with the intent to invade and conquer the planet, an impending invasion due within forty minutes. This warning serves as the catalyst for Takeru's subsequent decision to launch a preemptive strike against the Gamp base on the planet Andoa using the Solvalou combat aircraft. Ruu Me's role is strictly expository and motivational, providing the necessary impetus for the protagonists' actions.
