Chefe Gato descends from the chief of the forty thieves. He seeks to reclaim his ancestors' treasure, now depleted by Ali Baba XXXIV, to restore the thieves' legacy. His quest brings him into conflict with Ali Baba, who possesses a genie fearful of cats. To protect his genie, Ali Baba orders the capture of all cats, directly opposing Chefe Gato and positioning him as an adversary. In the Portuguese film version, Chefe Gato is also known as "Dora."
