Eiji Iwami operates within Hiroshima's Gokuraku Cho gang alongside Tsukasa, Yoji, and Hisao. He forms a bond with Tsukasa after Tsukasa's induction into the group and eventually takes leadership following a clash with the former leader. Eiji secretly pursues a romance with Mika from the rival gang Nights, defying strict inter-gang relationship prohibitions designed to prevent violence. This entanglement strains relations between the gangs, particularly because Nights holds vastly greater territory and influence than Gokuraku Cho. Mika endures mistreatment from her own gang due to the affair, intensifying hostilities. Despite risks, Eiji remains devoted to her. Hisao uncovers the relationship within Gokuraku Cho, but Tsukasa, as leader, refrains from enforcing the ban, offering unspoken approval. Tensions erupt into a physical confrontation between the two gangs. Resolution emerges through intervention from Nights allies like Erika, who help de-escalate the conflict. Eiji’s actions reflect his loyalty to gang structure while defying its protocols through personal attachments.
