Demolishor began as a Decepticon military expert defined by unwavering loyalty to Megatron and the Decepticon cause. He served as reliable battlefield support, though he occasionally struggled to reconcile Megatron's selfish actions with his own ideals of factional devotion. His initial Armada-era body transformed into a Cybertronian missile tank and partnered with the Mini-Con Blackout.
Following the Unicron Battles and Megatron's apparent death, Demolishor obeyed the final order to cooperate with Autobots. Stationed as a guard at Earth's Ocean City Energon mining facility, he maintained friction with Autobots like Ironhide and humans, frequently expressing dissatisfaction with his non-combat role. A pivotal moment occurred during a battle at Plains City when he encountered a sword forged from Megatron's spark; sensing his former leader's life force, he hesitated to seize the weapon, revealing deep internal conflict about his allegiance.
This conflict intensified upon Megatron's return and assault on Ocean City. Confronted directly by Megatron, Demolishor initially aimed his weapons but ultimately yielded, rejoining the Decepticons. His experiences had reshaped his perspective, leading him to occasionally caution Megatron about human resilience. Later, during an attack on the Autobot ship *Miranda II*, Demolishor sacrificed himself by shoving Megatron clear of the ship's Energon Grid defense system. He absorbed the full blast, destroying his body, and explicitly blamed Optimus Prime for his demise before exploding.
Megatron recovered Demolishor's spark and implanted it into a new body using Unicron-derived power. This process erased his memories and severely reduced his intelligence, resulting in diminished cognitive function and a primitive, aggressive demeanor. His new form transformed into a green and black dump truck armed with a "Hyper Power" missile launcher. He exhibited ape-like behavior, including chest-beating, grunting, and performing backflips when excited. He retained a bond with Cyclonus (now Snow Cat), whose intelligence level he now matched. Notably, during the conflict's climax, he and Snow Cat chose self-preservation over blindly following Megatron into a fatal plunge.
In Dreamwave Productions' comic continuity, Demolishor participated in early Mini-Con roundups on Cybertron and later battles on Earth. Post-Unicron conflict, he worked at an Energon plant before being attacked and drained by the spectral form of Starscream. Flashbacks depicted him piloting Megatron's battle barge.
A subsequent toy bio for the Cybertron line indicated he remained on Cybertron after its evacuation, battling Scrapmetal Terrorcons. He expressed no desire to reunite with the resurrected Megatron, preferring autonomy from his former commander's abuse.
