Francisco Andrés Valdivia

Description
Francisco Andrés Valdivia, also known as Paco Valdivia, is a veteran Spanish actor and voice actor who has been active in the dubbing industry since the 1980s. He is a significant figure in the Spanish voice acting scene, recognized for lending his voice to some of the first Japanese anime series to be broadcast in Spain. He is known for his distinctive vocal range, which includes a shrill inflection and a tendency to ham up loudly, though he has also demonstrated the ability to use much more somber tones and voice multiple, divergent characters. These traits make him well-suited for playing villains and comedic characters.

Valdivia's career includes a vast number of anime roles, with one of his most prominent associations being with the Digimon franchise. He voiced a multitude of characters in the series, including Myotismon, MetalSeadramon, and Diaboromon in Digimon Adventure, and continued with roles such as Yukio Oikawa and Wormmon in Digimon Adventure 02, and Impmon in Digimon Tamers. Another major franchise in his filmography is One Piece, for which he has voiced an extensive list of characters, most notably the fish-man pirate Arlong.

In addition to these, he has taken on roles in numerous other popular anime series. He voiced Demolisher in Transformers: Armada and Transformers: Energon, a role related to Sideways, which is one of his noted parts in the Transformers franchise. He is also the voice of the character Drago in the Bakugan Battle Brawlers series, including New Vestroia, Gundalian Invaders, and Mechtanium Surge. His other anime credits include Gatoh in Naruto, Juuzo Megure in Case Closed, Crimson in Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, and roles in Ojamajo Doremi, Hamtaro, and Ashita no Nadja.

Beyond anime, Valdivia's voice work extends to western animation and live-action dubbing. He voiced Thompson and Thomson in the 1991 series The Adventures of Tintin, Clawful and Beast-man in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002), and characters in the Transformers Cybertron series. His live-action dubbing credits include Bernard in Beetlejuice (1988), roles in Die Hard, and Terry Gilliam's characters in Monty Python's Life of Brian. Recurring collaborations in his career include frequently voicing characters originally performed by Japanese voice actor Kenichi Ogata.
