Description
Drago is a Pyrus Dragonoid and the primary Bakugan partner of Dan Kouzo. Noble in character, he possesses a strong commitment to achieving greatness, metaphorically described as "a prince still earning his wings." Selective in choosing human partners, Drago formed a powerful bond with the instinctively forceful battler Dan Kouzo. Their partnership began when mysterious Bakugan first emerged on Earth, with Dan and his friends establishing themselves as Brawlers. Throughout numerous conflicts, Drago remained fiercely loyal, though their bond faced challenges when external forces like AAAnimus technology temporarily controlled Drago, requiring liberation by Dan and allies.
Drago's journey was marked by physical transformations. Starting in a base Dragonoid form, exposure to the Core Cell's energy within "The Maze" triggered his first major evolution. During a critical battle against the corrupted Tiko near the Core Cell, Drago was infected by the V-Virus. To heal and gain strength, he and Dan retreated into the Core Cell's energy field, where Drago evolved into Hyper Drago, defeating Tiko. Further evolutions occurred across subsequent conflicts against threats like the hunter Strata, the rival Magnus Black, and corporate forces such as Philomena Dusk's AAAnimus, each state manifesting increased power reflected in heightened B-Power levels.
Alongside Dan and the "Awesome Ones" (later "Awesome Brawlers"), Drago participated in pivotal events: exploring the Maze to rescue captured Bakugan from Strata; defending vital Core Cells from threats including Tiko and corporate exploitation; confronting Magnus and his Bakugan in high-stakes brawls for Core Cell control; infiltrating AAAnimus headquarters to free enslaved Bakugan, including himself when under corporate control; and embarking on global journeys initiated by Benton Dusk to secure other Core Cells, facing escalating threats like the return of Tiko and the corrupted Benton.
