Javier Rivero is a Mexican actor, voice actor, and dubbing director born on May 7, 1967, in Mexico City. He began his career in the dubbing industry in 1986. He is also known by the nickname "El Javo".

Rivero has lent his voice to a wide array of characters in anime, animation, and live-action dubbing. Among his most recognized anime roles are those in the long-running franchise Saint Seiya (known as Los Caballeros del Zodiaco in Spanish). He is particularly known for voicing the twin Gold Saints, Gemini Saga and Gemini Kanon, across numerous productions, including the original series, the OVAs for The Hades Chapter - Sanctuary, Inferno, and Elysion, as well as the film Legend of Sanctuary. He also voices the character Unicorn Jabu in the same franchise.

His work extends to other notable anime series. He is the voice of Drago, the Guardian Bakugan of the protagonist Dan, in Bakugan Battle Brawlers and its sequel Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia. In the 2021 version of Shaman King, he voices the character Ponchi, a role he later reprised for the 2024 sequel series Shaman King Flowers. He also voiced César, known as Seiji Date, in Legendary Armor Samurai Troopers and Lieutenant Victor in Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut.

Beyond anime, Rivero has performed voices for a vast range of animated and live-action projects. He has been the Spanish voice of the Joker in animated DC Comics productions since 2018, a role that began with the film Batman Ninja. He is also known for voicing Dragonoid / Drago in all sagas of the Bakugan series, and he has been the recurring Latin Spanish voice for actor Jack Black. His other prominent roles include Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, for which he also served as dubbing director. In addition to his voice acting, Javier Rivero has worked as a dubbing director on various projects, including the Spanish versions of the Star Wars prequel films and certain installments of the Saint Seiya franchise.
