Description
Minoru Jinguuji originates from Hakodate, characterized by his affluent background and inherently kind disposition. His family's wealth positions him as the candidate for an arranged marriage solution to the significant financial debts burdening the Akanegi family, who operate a local food store. Atsuko Akanegi's mother orchestrates the marriage arrangement to alleviate their economic hardships. Despite Minoru's agreeable nature and compatibility in age with Atsuko, she initially resists the proposal due to her emotional attachment to the older local musician, Kenji Kurata. This conflict leads Atsuko to flee to Kurata for refuge when familial pressure intensifies.
During this period, Minoru's role remains indirect yet pivotal. Kurata provides Atsuko with impartial guidance, helping her navigate her feelings without exploitation. Through these interactions, Atsuko undergoes introspection and recognizes the potential for genuine affection toward Minoru. However, this realization is accompanied by her firm rejection of any coerced marital commitment. The resolution emphasizes her agency in choosing her path, implicitly acknowledging Minoru's respectful position. No further narrative arcs, spin-offs, or alternate media expansions detail Minoru's background or evolution beyond this central storyline.
