Roka is Yamato Takeru's closest companion, hailing from the same village. Initially cautious and apprehensive, he frequently voices concerns about Takeru's dangerous or morally ambiguous actions. Despite these reservations, Roka remains steadfastly loyal, choosing voluntary exile alongside Takeru. This decision launches Roka into extensive travels across diverse regions.

Their shared journey involves confrontations with hostile Sky Warriors and navigation through hazardous environments. Through these experiences, Roka undergoes significant personal development, his initial timidity gradually transforming into measured courage and increased resilience. This evolution culminates upon their return home, where Roka exhibits enhanced maturity and wisdom compared to his pre-departure self.

Three years after the original conflict concludes, in the "After War" period, Roka reappears sporting glasses. His occupation shifts toward intellectual pursuits, evident in his scholarly activities within the village. During this time, he maintains his connection with Takeru and Oto, continuing to reside alongside them in the community they restored to peace.
