White Hermit is one of two hermit entities acting as messengers for Kyogoku Tei, the principal antagonist. Alongside Black Hermit, White Hermit delivers Kyogoku Tei's orders and instructions to the Ongyou. The hermits occasionally transform their appearance into that of young girls, using this ability to deceive or manipulate the Ongyou into executing tasks aligned with Kyogoku Tei's objectives. This shapeshifting demonstrates their role as intermediaries between Kyogoku Tei and the supernatural trio.

Their duties include intervening in the Ongyou's missions when it serves Kyogoku Tei's interests. For instance, they directly interfered to prevent the Ongyou from delivering final judgment to Tatsuta, instead taking her into service under Kyogoku Tei. This intervention highlights their function in recruiting individuals to further their master's plans.

White Hermit and Black Hermit meet their end during the final confrontation involving Kyogoku Tei and the Ongyou. Kyogoku Tei accidentally destroys them amidst the chaos of his defeat, ceasing their operations.
