Surya originates as an ancient Indian princess from the Gupta Empire era, preserved in suspended animation within Himalayan ice for approximately 1,500 years. Her frozen state connects to the mystical Sex Grail, the artifact essential for her revival. This awakening draws the antagonistic Naga Tribe, led by Prince Rudra, who seeks to harness her secret to eternal life by obtaining her "love juice" to combine with the Sex Grail for immortality. Consequently, Surya faces repeated kidnappings and manipulations by the tribe.

In the anime, she recognizes protagonist Ryu Aikawa as the reincarnation of Gopal, a knight who protected her in a past life. This connection suggests Prince Rudra may be the reincarnation of Gopal’s killer. Surya’s relationship with Ryu evolves toward a destined cosmic purpose tied to the Sacred Egg, a golden vessel within the earthly paradise of Shambhala.

Her ultimate purpose culminates inside the Sacred Egg. Celestial beings within instruct Ryu and Rudra to undergo a final test involving group sex based on Kamasutra principles. Ryu emerges as Surya’s chosen partner. Their sacred intercourse fulfills an ancient prophecy, resulting in eternal pleasure. Following this act, the Sacred Egg splits. One vessel carries Ryu back to Earth, landing in a river, while the other carries Surya skyward. Encapsulated within her vessel, she attaches to the Sex Grail. The artifact and her contained vessel are then resealed within a sculpture at Khajuraho Temple, returning her to dormancy.
