Yakko, also known as Kurozukin Yakko or Black Riding Hood Yakko, is a young sorceress who studies in the Banana Class at Urara School alongside protagonist Chacha. She consistently wears a distinctive black hooded cloak, a dark blue dress, diamond-shaped earrings, and dark blue flats, complementing her shoulder-length royal purple hair with asymmetrical bangs and her purple eyes. Her black hood creates a visual distinction from Chacha's red one, though she is not an antagonist.

Her magical specialty lies in potion-making and crafting magical artifacts, excelling at alchemy over traditional incantation-based magic. This focus enables her to create functional magical items through imaginative methods. While her initial training mirrored Chacha's, Yakko later transitioned exclusively to alchemy.

A defining trait is her deep infatuation with Seravy, Chacha's guardian and teacher, whom she reverently calls "Seravy-sama." This fuels her desire to become his sole student and drives her persistent rivalry with Chacha. Despite this tension, Yakko maintains close friendships with classmates Orin and Marin, frequently appearing with them.

Throughout the series, Yakko participates in major events, including the quest to defeat the antagonist Daimaō. As one of the eight Holy Warriors embodying love, courage, and hope, she contributes to the final battle at Daimaō's castle, marking her integration into the core group beyond initial rivalries. After Daimaō's defeat, she attends Seravy and Dorothy's wedding alongside other former adversaries.

In later story arcs, Yakko continues to appear in school-focused episodes and group adventures, maintaining key relationships and her alchemical specialty. Her character shows an evolution from single-minded rivalry toward cooperative dynamics within the ensemble.
