Description
Jimmy Eril is among 13 children stranded during the emergency evacuation of the Clayad colony after an attack by hostile alien forces called Astrogaters. He escapes aboard the training combat spacecraft Janous with the other children, aged 4 to 15. The group initially seeks refuge on Belwick, the fourth planet in the Ypserlon system, only to find its colony also destroyed by the Astrogaters.

Confronted by this reality, Jimmy and the children take command of the Janous and its defense systems, including the VIFAM mecha, embarking on a journey back to Earth. During this voyage, they encounter a damaged Astrogater ship and uncover crucial secrets: one child is secretly an alien, and their captured parents have been transported to Tuat, an artificial satellite orbiting the alien homeworld Kukto.

Jimmy actively battles the Astrogaters (who self-identify as Kuktonians) as the children travel towards Earth and later Tuat. He demonstrates resourcefulness and adaptability, contributing significantly to the group's survival and combat effectiveness. His experiences include engagements with hostile Kuktonian forces and encounters with Earth military personnel providing assistance.

Following the successful infiltration of Tuat and the rescue of alien prisoners (including captured human adults), Jimmy participates in the subsequent mission to Kukto itself after learning the captured parents have been relocated planetside.

Jimmy reappears in the sequel series "Ginga Hyōryū Vifam 13," indicating his continued involvement with the group and their ongoing struggles. His character development across the original series, its OVAs, and the sequel reflects his growth from a stranded child into an experienced mecha pilot and survivor.

Personality-wise, Jimmy exhibits intelligence, quick thinking, and fierce loyalty to his fellow survivors. He remains determined and brave, maintaining optimism despite traumatic separation from his family and constant threats. His resourcefulness proves invaluable for problem-solving throughout their journey.
