Description
Shadowmaru, designated BP-501, emerged from a collaborative project integrating 3G, NERV, and Cybertronian technology. This initiative produced six Brave models equipped with Super AI. As an enhanced successor to the prototype ninja robot Kagero, Shadowmaru boasts superior versatility through five alternate modes: dog, police car, jet, tank, and later a specialized Brave Cannon configuration.

Initially a lone operative, Shadowmaru focused on capturing Kagero—whom he regarded as a brother due to their shared origins. This mission sparked internal conflict when Shadowmaru aided Kagero’s escape to prevent his memory wipe. Shadowmaru granted Kagero freedom under a non-violence pact but intervened when Kagero ravaged the city. Forced to confront Kagero after his Super AI removal reduced him to a mindless combat shell, Shadowmaru destroyed Kagero’s original body. Retrieving Kagero’s AI chip during a submarine mission fulfilled Kagero’s final wish for Shadowmaru to live meaningfully, compelling Shadowmaru to permanently join the Brave Police.

Within the team, Shadowmaru transitioned from a solitary agent to a committed member. His reserved demeanor, showing few outward emotions, masks profound loyalty—especially toward Kagero’s memory and his mentor Sixshot. He demonstrates unwavering duty and protectiveness toward human allies. During an alien incursion (Episode 43), a temporary Hyjuss energy infusion enabled his transformation into the colossal Brave Cannon configuration, allowing fellow Braves to wield him as a planet-piercing artillery weapon before the enhancement faded.

His arsenal includes a standard revolver, paired katanas (one short, one long), and throwing shurikens. Advanced capabilities encompass motion/heat sensors, satellite-linked hacking programs, and remote access to security cameras. His expertise in espionage and infiltration earned him the Ninja Detective designation.

Personality assessments classify him as ENTJ (Myers-Briggs) and Enneagram Type 8w9 (The Challenger), emphasizing independence, calculated risk-taking, logical analysis, protectiveness, and control balanced by loyalty. His design originates from the Transformers character Sixshot, modified from the Autobot Greatshot mold.

Initial team integration faced hurdles, but shared adversities solidified bonds with fellow Braves, forging a "Fire-Forged Friends" dynamic. His dedication to protecting humans persisted undiminished despite enduring discrimination as "just a machine."
