Fumihiko Tachiki is a veteran Japanese voice actor and narrator born on April 29, 1961, in Nagasaki Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent management firm Office Osawa. Standing 174 cm tall with blood type A, he is known by nicknames such as Bun-chan and Fumin.

Before establishing himself as a voice actor, Tachiki was a blues singer, a background that contributes to his signature deep and resonant voice. He made his debut in the anime industry in 1983 with a role in Aura Battler Dunbine. His first major breakout role came in 1995 when he was cast as Gendo Ikari in the influential series Neon Genesis Evangelion, a character that brought him significant recognition.

Throughout his extensive career, Tachiki has portrayed a wide array of characters, often leveraging his powerful voice for authoritative or intimidating roles. One of his most iconic and long-running parts is that of the formidable Kenpachi Zaraki in the Bleach series, a role he has continued in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. In the One Piece franchise, he voices the intense Fleet Admiral Sakazuki, known as Akainu, appearing in numerous productions including One Piece Film Red and One Piece Stampede. He is also well-known for playing the perpetually down-on-his-luck Madao, Taizō Hasegawa, in Gintama. Other notable anime roles include Vodka in Detective Conan, Kratos Aurion in the Tales of Symphonia animated adaptations, and Sloth in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Beyond specific characters, Tachiki is a highly sought-after narrator, a role that capitalizes on the distinct quality of his voice. He has provided narration for numerous series, including Golden Kamuy, the Kaiji anime, and Battle Spirits: Burning Soul. His voice is also iconic to fans of the Kamen Rider franchise, as he provided the voice for the Gaia Memories and narration in Kamen Rider W. He also voiced Shadowmaru in The Brave Police J-Decker. His work extends to video games, with roles such as Yangus in the Dragon Quest series, Father Gascoigne in Bloodborne, and Gill in Street Fighter V.

In addition to his solo work, Tachiki has engaged in musical collaborations. He was part of a band called Takada Band with Ami Mimatsu, performing the opening theme for Blue Seed. In 2003, he formed the vocal unit 2HEARTS with fellow voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa, releasing music and performing live.
