TV-Series
Description
Ginpei, whose full name is Moroboshi Ginpei or Shiroboshi Ginpei, is the chief manager for the band BLACK STONES, frequently referred to by members and fans alike by the nickname Gin-chan. When he first appears, he is twenty-eight years old. Physically, he stands out significantly among the generally slender cast of the series due to his notably rugged, muscular, and stocky build, which gives him a strong and imposing physical presence. His appearance is completed by a buzz cut hairstyle, thick eyebrows, a thin pencil mustache, and pierced ears.

His personality is marked by a distinct contrast between his tough exterior and his flamboyant, expressive mannerisms. Ginpei speaks using onee-kotoba, a feminine or effeminate style of speech often associated with gay men in Japan, which makes his conversations unique and adds a layer of sassy, teasing humor to his interactions. He is easily excitable and brings an energetic and sometimes dramatic flair to the group, yet this is balanced by a core of unwavering professionalism and competence as a manager. While he can be playfully mean, such as whacking Nana Osaki on the head or quarreling with her over minor issues, these actions mask a deep and genuine care for her and the band's wellbeing.

Ginpei’s motivations are deeply rooted in the success and stability of BLACK STONES. He works tirelessly behind the scenes, acting as the true powerhouse and unsung hero who looks out for the band more than anyone else. His role in the story is that of a dedicated and often overlooked pillar of support, always putting the group's well-being first and ensuring operations run smoothly.

His relationships with other characters are notably varied and affectionate. He holds a particularly strong and open adoration for the band's drummer, Yasushi Takagi, often declaring Yasushi as his favorite and treating him with extra kindness. This affection leads him to feel openly bitter about Yasushi’s relationship with Miu Shinoda, making no secret of his displeasure. In contrast to his sometimes rough demeanor with others, Ginpei is remarkably gentle and indulgent toward the young guitarist Shinichi Okazaki, often showing him extra kindness and leniency. His devotion to all members is evident in his constant, quiet efforts to support them and preserve the group's harmony.

Regarding character development, Ginpei remains a consistent and stabilizing force throughout the narrative. There is no significant shift in his core personality, but his role as the diligent and caring manager solidifies him as an indispensable part of the group. His notable abilities lie not in musical performance but in his managerial competence, his behind-the-scenes operational skills, and his capacity for unwavering loyalty. His distinctive vocal mannerisms and flamboyant personality make him an unforgettable character, but his true strength is his tireless dedication to the band he helps hold together.
