Description
Guzura hatched from a giant egg expelled during the eruption of Mt. Bikkura, emerging as a friendly, childlike monster resembling a rhinoceros or dinosaur. He possesses redwood-colored skin, a horn on his nose, a blue cap, a tie, prominent fangs, a large tail, and distinctive black eyes. His personality radiates innocence and perpetual bewilderment at the strange human world. He exhibits typical childlike traits, including an inability to keep secrets, gluttony, frequent napping, and a fear of syringes. When frightened or in trouble, he trembles and declares, "Hey, I'm Guzura."
Guzura possesses unique abilities: consuming metal to transform it into mechanical devices, spitting fire from his mouth, and executing high jumps with his powerful tail. After appearing near the Nuketa family home, he is adopted and forms close bonds with the children, Bonta and Susuko. While attempting to assist them, he frequently causes humorous mishaps, yet their friendship endures. Later, searching for his biological family, Guzura discovers Chalala, a female monster, on a distant island. He brings her to the Nuketa household, where she befriends Bonta and Susuko. To avoid expulsion, Guzura and the children conceal Chalala. Though Chalala often scolds Guzura for his laziness and clumsiness, they develop mutual affection. A future timeline reveals they marry and have 12 offspring.
Mt. Bikkura exists on another planet, making Guzura an alien. At the series' outset, he is newly hatched; an episode marking his one-year anniversary with the Nuketa family confirms his approximate age during the events.
