TV-Series
Description
Gigi hails from Fenarinarsa, a celestial realm of fairy tale beings, dispatched to Earth as an emissary to reignite humanity's lost hopes and dreams. Adopted by a childless couple, she manifests as a young girl aided by three animal companions: Sindbook the dog, Mocha the monkey, and Pipil the bird. Her core power enables transformation into an adult version of herself, adopting profession-specific forms—such as nurse, police officer, or flight attendant—with expert skills to resolve crises. Each successful intervention that spreads happiness materializes jewels in Fenarinarsa's crown; collecting twelve would reconnect the kingdom to Earth.

Mid-mission, she permanently loses her magic and perishes in a collision with a toy delivery truck. She reincarnates as the biological infant daughter of her Earth parents, devoid of magical abilities. Subsequent episodes unfold as this reincarnated child's dream, where she envisions Fenarinarsa's revival. Within this dream narrative, she repeatedly embodies Snow White across four episodes to confront an evil queen deploying poisoned apples. These adventures involve aiding dwarves, foiling the queen's plots, and battling a "black cloud" entity that petrifies characters—including her Earth parents.

A later incarnation emerges from Marinarsa, Fenarinarsa's aquatic counterpart, sharing the mission to restore human dreams. She resides with new Earth parents and commands redesigned companions: Cookbook the dog, Charmo the monkey, and Lupipi the bird. Initially restricted to adult transformations due to depleted magic, her abilities later expand to diverse forms and spells. During her journey, she encounters the original Fenarinarsa incarnation, now living magic-free as an ordinary human. Confronting humanity's fading imagination, she combats social issues with magic even as fairy tale beings vanish. Ultimately, she renounces her royal lineage and magic to remain on Earth as the true daughter of her human parents, believing hopes and dreams endure without overt enchantment.

Ancillary media includes the OVA "La Ronde in My Dream," depicting her timeless island adventure rescuing her human parents and collaborating with Peter Pan-esque figures to guard a youth fountain. Later OVAs—"The Bridge Over Dreams" and "The Station of Your Memories"—portray her in non-magical contexts: waiting years at a bridge to fulfill a promise to a skeptical boy while intertwining with townsfolk, and aiding an elderly man and distressed girl at a train station where she encounters her Marinarsa incarnation. A planned third iteration, "Miracle Dream," featuring a land-based kingdom protagonist, was adapted solely as a manga without an anime release.
