Blinki, an extraterrestrial prince from the peaceful planet Fairystar, fled his kingdom after its overthrow by the tyrannical Brungar. Escaping in a rescue capsule during the conflict, following his mother's sacrifice to ensure his survival, his spacecraft crash-landed on Earth. There, he began his search for his missing mother.

He possesses a magical bracelet aiding his quest and exists in the larval stage of his species' life cycle. This inherent biology means he will transform into a winged humanoid with elven features upon reaching adulthood.

On Earth, Blinki demonstrates an ability to communicate with terrestrial creatures like frogs, rabbits, and butterflies, forming alliances with them. He also receives crucial aid from human companions: an elderly hermit and his granddaughter, who help him navigate Earth and evade Brungar's forces.

His primary narrative arc involves evading Brungar's assassins while relentlessly pursuing his mother. Each episode typically features encounters with monsters or adversaries sent by Brungar. The storyline culminates in Blinki confronting and defeating Brungar, freeing his mother from captivity. This victory allows them to plan their return to Fairystar to reclaim their kingdom.
