Description
Filimøs Harrifenas, originally named Okazaki Kanami, was a Japanese high school homeroom teacher. After an explosion killed her students, she reincarnated into a fantasy world as an elf, becoming the daughter of Potimas Harrifenas, the elven ruler. Her appearance embodies typical elf traits: a slim, childlike body with blonde twin-tails and blue eyes. She frequently attributed her small stature to not reaching puberty, unaware this form is natural for elves.
Reincarnated, Filimøs focused solely on finding her former students. She mastered Telepathy to communicate with Potimas, who supplied resources for her search. Her unique skill, [Student Roster], tracked the reincarnated students' locations, health, and potential causes of death. This skill imposed strict restrictions: revealing its existence or details to students would inflict severe consequences upon them. Witnessing their predicted deaths through the skill intensified her protective drive. Fearful for their safety and driven by a self-imposed duty as their teacher, she collaborated with the elves to locate and confine eleven students within the Elf Village.
Filimøs justified the confinement as essential protection from the world's dangers. Unbeknownst to her, the elves employed brutal methods to acquire the students: murdering their new families, orchestrating kidnappings, and operating a global child trafficking network to mask their actions. She later discovered the elves had also killed or attempted to kill students perceived as threats to Potimas. The confined students resented her deeply for their prison-like conditions, enduring constant surveillance and strict regulations. Many openly expressed distrust and anger during her visits.
Her interactions with specific students revealed complex dynamics:
- She deeply cared for Hugo Baint von Renxandt but fundamentally misunderstood his character. Attempting to curb his arrogance, she used her Ruler Authority skill to strip his stats and abilities, believing it would restore his humanity. This act backfired, exacerbating his megalomania and fueling his hatred for her. During the Elf Village battle, resolved to kill him as a last resort, she was horrified by his rapid recovery via the Lust and Greed skills.
- She tried rescuing Sophia Keren (formerly Negishi Shouko) after mistaking her for Ariel's kidnap victim. Sophia attacked her unrecognizantly. Later, discovering Sophia served an Administrator, Filimøs viewed her with hostility yet retained an attachment, addressing her with her former name and the "-chan" suffix. They reconciled after the conflict, partly due to shared longevity.
- She made multiple failed attempts to recruit Wrath, distrusting his alliance with Administrators. She ultimately deemed him an enemy during their reunion in the Elf Village.
- She ignored Wakaba Hiiro's existence, assuming her dead according to the Student Roster. Wakaba's appearance during the Elf Village battle shocked Filimøs, prompting immediate skill verification.
Filimøs harbored ingrained antagonism toward the Administrators, heavily influenced by elven indoctrination. However, her fully matured mind from her previous life allowed her to question elven motives. The climax arrived during the Elf Village battle when Wakaba revealed Potimas's manipulations and the futility of Filimøs's efforts. Overwhelmed, Filimøs broke down, hyperventilating and crying upon realizing her actions had caused unintended harm. This confrontation led her to reassess her methods and beliefs, though she retained her core commitment to her students' well-being.
