Description
Angie, a 12-year-old noble girl in Victorian-era London's latter half, lives apart from her parents—Sir Charles Islington, Viceroy of India, and Sophia—due to their duties abroad. She resides under her grandmother Lady Barbara's guardianship. Despite her aristocratic upbringing, Angie exhibits notable independence and curiosity.

From a young age, she cultivated a passion for solving mysteries, developing strong deductive abilities. These skills gained public recognition when she recovered Queen Victoria's stolen jewels, a case that eluded Scotland Yard. As a reward, the Queen knighted her and granted her wish to join the detective force despite her youth, appointing her as an honorary detective. This appointment included a pendant bearing the inscription "Protect Charlotte in my name; Victoria Queen of England," symbolizing royal authority.

Angie approaches investigations with keen observation and logical reasoning, frequently identifying crucial clues overlooked by professionals. She collaborates with Scotland Yard, notably Inspector Jackson and his assistant Michael, though her successes often cause friction with Jackson. Her primary companions are her best friend Frank, Frank's beagle Buster, and her horse. She demonstrates a compassionate nature, particularly toward animals and marginalized individuals, befriending woodland creatures and showing empathy for crime victims.

Marked by courage and determination, Angie confronts dangerous criminals who pose physical threats. She navigates Victorian societal expectations for young noblewomen by pursuing investigative work, often relying on her grandmother's support for this unconventional path. Her episodic adventures involve solving kidnappings, thefts, and supernatural mysteries across London.

Visually, Angie is characterized by blonde hair and a distinctive long polka-dot skirt. Her youth and stature frequently surprise criminals and adults, though she overcomes skepticism through demonstrated competence. Her character portrayal is solely within the original 26-episode series.
