Piero, also known as Peter Duck or Pierrot Paperazzi, is a boastful mallard duck character. Initially antagonistic, he played mean pranks on Calimero and acted as a bully in earlier series, often tricking or undermining him to create conflict. His father, Abrosio Paperazzi, owned a department store in the 1992 series and later operated a grocery store in the 2013 series, indicating a relatively affluent background.

Personality-wise, Piero is noisy, clumsy, boastful, prone to touching everything, and frequently disregards instructions. He tells lies and engages in mischievous actions but remains tolerated and liked within the group. His role evolves significantly across adaptations. In the 1992 anime and 2013 CGI series, he shifts from antagonist to one of Calimero's good friends. While retaining his boastful nature, he integrates into the core friend group with Calimero, Priscilla, and Valeriano, participating in group adventures and collaborative mysteries.

In the 2013 series setting of Belladagio (Hatchington in the UK English dub), Piero resides in a large villa near a lake. He interacts regularly with the main characters as they explore the town and use the Mill laboratory inherited from Calimero's ancestor. His relationships include Susie, a girl duckling who develops a crush on him in the 1992 series. Piero appears only in the main television series, with no documented appearances in movies, OVAs, or spin-offs.
