Professor Seitaro Ohgami (also romanized as Dr. Ōgami) leads the Ogami Corps and stands as the chief rival scientist to Dr. Tsuchiya. He champions a "battle racing" philosophy, advocating for Mini 4WD cars equipped with weapons to destroy opponents mid-race. This aggressive approach directly opposes Dr. Tsuchiya's commitment to fair competition and technical innovation. Their ideological clash, rooted in an earlier collaboration, led to an irreparable split over conflicting visions for the sport's future.

Ohgami operates from a large, concealed laboratory within a volcano, dedicated to developing and testing his battle-oriented Mini 4WDs. He trained the notable battle racer J, who ultimately rejected the destructive ethos and defected to Dr. Tsuchiya's team. Ohgami also has a family, including a wife and a daughter, Marina Ogami, who becomes relevant in the series' third season.
