TV-Series
Description
Ricky (Jet 'Let's' Saiba) is the older brother in the Seiba sibling duo, instantly recognizable by his ever-present green hat and red-themed appearance encompassing his hair, eyes, and racing gear. At the series start, he is one year older than his brother Go, placing him in fifth grade at age eleven. His personality contrasts with Go's impulsiveness, demonstrating greater patience, analytical thinking, and self-restraint. These traits directly shape his racing methodology, prioritizing cornering precision and stability over raw speed. While generally levelheaded, he exhibits occasional frustration, especially during disagreements with Go, whom he openly criticizes when necessary.

He begins racing with the Super Astute Jr., later transitioning to the Sonic Saber received from Dr. Tsuchiya. Ricky personally customized this car with red and green detailing, giving it deep sentimental value. Its destruction in Dr. Ogami's volcanic lab is a significant emotional blow. He subsequently adopts the Vanguard Sonic, recognizing its potential despite his attachment to the Sonic Saber. His car evolution continues through models like the Hurricane Sonic—optimized for drifting—the Buster Sonic, Blitzer Sonic, and Rodeo Sonic. Each machine prioritizes control and agility, aligning with his cornering expertise. He develops specialized techniques such as the "Hurricane Power Dribble" and "Buster Turn."

During the World Grand Prix (WGP), he leads the TRF Victorys, Japan's representative team. His strategic aptitude and balanced skills suit this leadership role, emphasizing cooperative team formations over individual pursuits. This team-centric philosophy sometimes clashes with Go's independent approach. Ricky maintains a firm ethical stance throughout his career, rejecting battle racing tactics involving car destruction or underhanded advantages. He upholds principles of fair competition alongside Go and their allies.

Beyond racing, he enjoys hobbies like postcard collection and gaming. Post-competition, as shown in "Return Racers," he transitions into aerospace engineering, contributing to space probe development after overseas studies recommended by Dr. Tsuchiya. This path diverges from Go's professional auto racing career, though Ricky retains vivid memories of their final race together. While no longer an active racer, his legacy endures through his technical contributions and steadfast commitment to the sport's integrity.
