Paolo Torrisi was the stage name of Maurizio Torresan, an influential Italian voice actor and dubbing director born in Milan on 28 March 1950. He began his career in entertainment as a child actor, appearing in various television dramas and radio plays throughout the 1960s. He made his debut in the world of dubbing at the age of 18, providing the Italian voice for the character Pierre in the first Italian-language dubbing of the 1969 anime film Puss 'n Boots. In 1973, he decided to dedicate himself exclusively to voice acting, and by 1975 he had joined the cast of the Cooperativa ADC, where he took on significant roles such as the voice of the protagonist in the animated series Grisù the Dragon. Over the following decades, he worked extensively, often under the pseudonym Paolo Torrisi, at nearly all the dubbing studios in Milan.

Max and Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!! WGP. His extensive filmography also featured characters such as Andrea in the anime adaptation Kiss Me Licia, Arin in Danguard, Sam in Sailor Moon, and Koby in the early episodes of One Piece.

Beyond his voice acting, Paolo Torrisi was a highly respected figure in the dubbing industry who frequently took on roles as a dialogue adapter and dubbing director. He directed the Italian dubbing for numerous series and films, notably including many of the Dragon Ball movies and series at Merak Film, as well as other shows like Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics and Kaiketsu Zorro. His work as a director and adapter was integral to the localization of anime for Italian audiences.
