He leads Earth-invasion assault troops and directs planetary attacks from his flagship saucer. Ruthlessly ambitious, Hydargos prioritizes personal glory in defeating Grendizer over broader Vegan Empire strategies or alliances. His tactics deploy overwhelming force and subterfuge. In the operation "The Feast of the Wolves" (episode 7), he orchestrated the assassination of rival Vegan officer Captain Janus of the Ruin Division to eliminate competition and secure sole credit for destroying Grendizer and conquering Earth. His command fixates singularly on defeating Grendizer's pilot, Duke Fleed/Actarus, whom he considers his ultimate adversary.
