Description
Socrat Tes, a prominent leader within the Galveston Empire’s hierarchy, hails from the Socrat family—steadfast advocates of diplomacy in an empire driven by militaristic expansion. As Internal Commissioner, he navigates the complexities of governance while championing peaceful resolutions, a philosophy shared by his son, Socrat Teles, a key military commander favoring negotiation over warfare. When the Galveston Empire crumbles under the weight of its dying homeworld and internal fractures, Socrat Tes learns from Galaxy Garrison officer Dick Asimov that surviving citizens will be relocated to a habitable planet in a gesture of post-war reconciliation.

Though his precise actions during the empire’s conflicts are scarcely documented, the Socrat family’s ideological commitment to peace starkly contrasts with the conquest-driven agendas of their peers. Following his son’s assassination by disillusioned soldiers and the empire’s ultimate collapse, Socrat Tes shifts focus to overseeing the migration of survivors, ensuring their transition to a new world and cementing his role in the fragile emergence of a post-imperial order.
