Eiji Kanie was a Japanese actor and voice actor born on November 21, 1941, in Tokyo, Japan. He was active in the anime industry from 1971 until his untimely death in 1985 and was affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. Kanie passed away on October 13, 1985, at the age of 43 due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage. He was also noted to have skill in the Spanish language.
Kanie is most prominently remembered for his roles in two major franchises of the early 1980s. He was the first voice actor to play the character Ramenman in the original Kinnikuman television series, a role he performed from 1983 until 1985. Following his death, the role was taken over by Banjō Ginga.
