Description
Operating under Megatron's command on Earth, Predacon Gas Skunk specializes in energy theft and malicious acts. He forms a trio with Dark Scream and Slapper, serving as their intellectual counterpart relative to the group's overall incompetence. Despite this, he possesses genuine technical aptitude focused on demolitions and weapon invention. His creations include time bombs fired from his left shoulder, a particle beam cannon designed to disrupt electrical systems (notably ineffective against steam-powered locomotives), and combination tracker/bugging devices, though his practical judgment often falters.

His combat arsenal features a bicep-mounted "Left Laser" blaster and a serrated tail made from special alloys. A defining ability is expelling large clouds of foul-smelling, corrosive gas from his mouth in both robot and beast modes, intended to blind, disorient, and induce uncontrollable laughter. This gas is highly flammable, a vulnerability exploited by Autobots like Railspike or Rail Racer. Documented special attacks include Acid Breath, Gas Skunk Attack, and Tail Blade Slash.

Personality-wise, Gas Skunk blends arrogance with cowardice. He frequently misuses complex vocabulary and lacks long-term strategy. While knowledgeable in Cybertronian law and computer programming—leveraging salvage laws to justify stealing Autobot stasis pods—his bravery dissolves under direct opposition, often causing him to flee. He shares a bully mentality with his teammates, readily shifting blame for failures onto commander Sky-Byte. This tendency persists alongside his resentment towards the Decepticons, who later supplant the Predacons as Megatron's favored troops, viewing them as threats.

Throughout missions, Gas Skunk participates in energy theft, hostage situations, and disruptive attacks on human infrastructure. Key involvements include planting pulsar bombs to destroy bridges, attempting to brainwash Autobot Tow-Line using a metronome and later a disc, guarding captured Autobots, and disguising himself as Prowl in failed deception plots against Autobots and Decepticons. His contributions rarely yield sustained success, often ending in retreats or failures. Following the Decepticons' rise, he and the other Predacons engage in desperate efforts to regain relevance, including futile attempts to frame Scourge for betrayal or ingratiate themselves with Megatron-turned-Galvatron, yielding minimal impact.
