OVA
Description
Ryoko Futaba serves as a manager at the Pia Carrot 2nd restaurant, a 24-year-old with striking green eyes and exceptionally long blonde hair flowing past her hips. Standing 158cm tall, she dedicates most of her time to her primary hobby: work itself.

Her high school years were marked by intense shyness and romantic struggles, where she developed an inferiority complex watching her friend Aoi Minase effortlessly attract male attention. This history fuels her persistent low self-esteem; she views herself as uninteresting and ordinary despite her responsibilities.

Professionally, Ryoko trains and supervises staff, including protagonist Kouji Maeda, maintaining a composed exterior that belies her inner doubts. Her dynamic with Kouji diverges across adaptations: in the original, a drunken mutual confession leads to a fleeting romantic moment after he rescues her from an assault, though they swiftly return to professionalism. The remake strictly depicts their relationship as platonic and work-oriented.

Ryoko’s friendship with Aoi remains significant yet emotionally taxing, constantly reigniting her sense of inadequacy. During "Pia Carrot 2.2"—set four months after the main events—she steps up as substitute chief while Yusuke Kinoshita relocates temporarily, showcasing her operational competence and reliability within the restaurant hierarchy.

Her narrative arc prioritizes workplace dedication and internal battles with self-worth over prolonged romantic entanglements.
