Description
Wan Derbard is a 14-year-old member of the Tiger Tribe, son of its leader Shaba Dabadabadata. He displays a passionate personality and often makes impulsive decisions driven by immediate emotion. His defining characteristic is an intense, constant hunger that frequently overpowers other concerns. This hunger sometimes escalates to the point where he views his companion Bud Mint as potential food, triggering feral behavior that strips away his rationality until satisfied.
Specific conditions cause Wan to involuntarily transform into an anthropomorphic tiger: sneezing, extreme anger, or encountering cat toys. Elements of his clothing, like his trousers, remain intact during this change. As one of the Three Beasts, he commands the panther-like Jinn known as Earth Totem. This Jinn is one of three tribal statues capable of combining with others to form a larger mechanized entity, serving a strategic role in his group's objectives.
Wan typically wears red attire and acts as the de facto leader of his group, his leadership marked by hot-blooded impulsiveness rather than careful planning. Captured by humans from the Southern Hemisphere led by Uranus, he escaped imprisonment with help from a child named Yuuni Charm Password. He subsequently joined the quest to locate the mythical treasure Gaia, pursued by antagonists V-Darn and V-Sion.
His interactions with companions highlight his traits: Bud Mint frequently endures the brunt of Wan's hunger, while Mei Mer and Tuttle Millen share his large appetite. One documented incident saw the group trapped in a cave for days, engaging in intense competition gambling over survival priorities. Wan's personal motivations intertwine with the broader mission, though his focus persistently returns to immediate physical needs like eating. Official media details no significant character development or evolution beyond these established traits and events.
