Description
Deji Devil, a 100,001-year-old demon king born March 13th in the dark demon world, wages a personal campaign to spread unhappiness across the planet Di Gi Charat. This mission directly counters Princess Dejiko's efforts to bring joy to its residents. He operates with his subordinate, Piyoko, who commands the Black Gema Gema Gang despite her youth. While Piyoko addresses him formally as "Deji Devil-sama" or "Boss," her true respect remains minimal. Dejiko's group treats both with casual familiarity, rarely perceiving them as serious threats and affectionately calling Piyoko "Piyoko-chan."

Manifesting as a small-statured hologram with teal and turquoise skin, Deji Devil possesses no solid substance except for his tangible black cape and bat-like wings. His distinctive appearance features black panda-like ears, bold eyebrows, red eyes set against pale yellow sclera, sharp fangs, and pointed ears. He dons a large yellow crown topped with three floating crosses and five green gems, complemented by purple and pink frilled clothing adorned with devilish motifs. His cape frequently drapes over his form, creating an illusion of greater height.

A key ability allows him to transform into a massive pink-and-white panda-like entity known as "The King of Demons," retaining his holographic nature and gaining small bat wings. This form grants enhanced capabilities, including firing lasers from his mouth, though he uses it sparingly to avoid setting expectations. His standard powers encompass flight, magic, energy projection (manifesting as pink lasers from his hands), shapeshifting, and intangibility—enabling him to phase through solid objects due to his non-corporeal state, which also prevents physical interaction with objects or people.

Deji Devil displays a personality marked by childishness, stubbornness, and a volatile temper. He constantly devises schemes to thwart Dejiko and her friends, yet these plans inevitably fail due to protagonist interference or his own incompetence. Despite his malevolent role, he harbors a surprising fear of ghosts. His deeper motive involves transforming Di Gi Charat into a paradise for demon children or "bad children." His appearances are confined exclusively to "Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat."

Throughout the series, his antagonistic efforts prove consistently ineffective, resulting in comedic outcomes rather than genuine menace. His dynamic with Piyoko fluctuates between domineering and collaborative, their endeavors rarely progressing beyond minor disruptions. He occasionally cheats during competitions against Dejiko's group, achieving only fleeting, inconsequential victories.
