Movie
Description
Miranda Cocker leads the Killer Commandos, a battlebike racing team engaged in brutal, Rollerballesque games. Her position is specifically titled "Queen," denoting a central tactical and leadership role. Miranda often presents a cynical personality, which others misinterpret, provoking reactions of fear or excessive respect. Despite this exterior, she operates on a "hard shell, soft core" principle, showing deep loyalty and affection for her teammates, actively protecting their safety and well-being.
When team manager Gary is discovered secretly smuggling arms into Io, Miranda uncovers the cache and devises a plan to destroy the occupying Ishtar military's tanks parked in their stadium. Despite Gary's warning that the mission is suicidal, Miranda proceeds, driven by retaliation against the invasion disrupting their lives. Hiro supports her and rallies the team. During the assault, they underestimate the Ishtar forces, resulting in the deaths of Jack and Gary. The surviving members are rescued by the Aphrodian Freedom Force.
Following this failed attack, Miranda and the remaining Killer Commandos are forcibly recruited by Lieutenant Kurtz into his rebel unit, the Bloodhound Squadron (or "HOUND"), due to their monobiking skills. This creates division; while Will and Earth reporter Susan Sommers advocate fighting for Aphrodia's freedom, Miranda wants nothing to do with the war, reflecting her opposition to the conflict engulfing Io. After Hiro agrees to join the Bloodhound Squadron to secure his teammates' release, Miranda and the others are freed. She subsequently parts ways with Hiro as he remains with the rebels.
Miranda has light red or orange hair and lilac-colored eyes.
