Lisanna and Elfman learned Take Over Magic from guild master Makarov to help Mirajane overcome her loneliness and integrate.

In X782, Elfman lost control of his Beast Soul Take Over during a mission. Lisanna intervened to calm him but was struck and sent flying into the forest. As Mirajane tended to her, an Anima portal transported Lisanna to Edolas. Presumed dead in Earth Land, she awakened in Edolas's Fairy Tail guild, where members mistook her for their deceased Lisanna. Unwilling to cause them pain, she adopted that identity and lived there for two years.

During the Edolas arc, Lisanna encountered Earth Land's Natsu Dragneel and Happy, who recognized her. She initially hid her identity but later confessed to Natsu. Despite her connection to Earth Land, she chose to remain in Edolas to spare the Edolas Mirajane and Elfman pain. However, when the Anima began absorbing magical beings, Edolas Mirajane and Elfman revealed they knew her true identity and urged her to return home. Transported back to Earth Land, Panther Lily found her. Reuniting with Natsu, Happy, and the guild, she clarified her survival. She then reunited with her siblings at her gravesite in Kardia Cathedral, ending their grief.

After returning, Lisanna resumed guild activities. She participated in the S-Class Mage Promotion Trial on Tenrou Island, partnering with Juvia. During the trial, she used multiple Animal Soul forms against Erza but was eliminated. Later, she and Mirajane fought Grimoire Heart's Azuma. Lisanna demonstrated advanced Take Over by chaining five transformations instantly. Azuma trapped her in a time-bombed root cage, forcing Mirajane to fight under duress. Lisanna survived the explosion and later assisted Levy and Panther Lily against Rustyrose before collapsing when Azuma severed the island's magical tree.

Lisanna uses Take Over: Animal Soul magic, transforming into animals or hybrids to enhance physical capabilities. Her forms include:

In non-canon appearances, Lisanna features in omake chapters and OVAs. She co-raised Happy's egg with Natsu, humorously suggesting she might marry him. She appears in "Memory Days" as a child and in "The Exciting Ryuzetsu Land" visiting a resort with Jenny and Mirajane. Video games depict her with abilities like Feather Cutter and Animal Soul: Owl.

Lisanna is petite with short white hair, blue eyes, and varying outfits. Her Fairy Tail guild stamp was originally red on her left shoulder but vanished during her transport to Edolas. There, she received a white stamp on her left thigh, matching Mirajane's.
