Professor Gil Ramsey serves as a crew member on a spaceship during its third OVA episode. His technical expertise focuses on the ship's time travel capabilities, and he applies his knowledge of operational regulations forbidding organic matter transmission through time.

Ramsey encounters Jiro Shutendo after Jiro aids the spaceship crew during a crisis. He subsequently participates in analyzing Jiro's unique physiological composition, identified as energy or photons rather than organic matter. This discovery sparks debate concerning Jiro's status and rights.

Later, Ramsey proposes a critical plan to bypass the time travel restrictions: using the ship's technology to send Jiro into the past despite the inherent risks and regulatory violations. This plan becomes a last resort when the ship suffers a devastating attack by Iron Kaiser, causing significant damage and numerous crew casualties.

Following Jiro's successful transmission into the past and with the ship facing imminent destruction, Ramsey escapes in a survival pod.
