Description
Shutendo Jiro arrives as a supernatural infant, delivered by the oni Senki to human newlyweds Ryuichiro and Kyoko Shiba. Senki warns he will reclaim the child in 15 years. Named "Shutendoji" (Heaven Hand Child) to avoid direct links to alcohol, Jiro grows up as their adoptive son, conscious of his non-human origin. His childhood displays defiant resilience, like surviving a truck impact unharmed while leaving destruction in his wake, hinting at latent demonic power.

As a teenager, Jiro is initially isolated and aloof, haunted by nightmares and visions of oni that foreshadow his deeper connection. His shadow sometimes manifests as Goki, a guardian oni assigned to protect him. When threats emerge—including enemy oni and the cult Ankoku Jashin Kyo seeking his elimination—Jiro gradually awakens to his powers: superhuman strength, energy projection (forming swords from ki), and intermittent horn growth. His bond with classmate Miyuki Shiratori becomes an emotional anchor, though her frequent targeting by adversaries forces Jiro into protective battles.

A pivotal revelation strikes when Jiro learns his birth mother, driven mad by his abduction, inadvertently created the oni realm to inflict suffering—forging a causal time loop. This knowledge propels Jiro across time and dimensions: he confronts cyborg enemies in a dystopian future, battles ancestral oni in the past, and navigates the hellish Ongokukai dimension. During these trials, his form evolves; he adopts a loincloth and wields energy blades, fully embracing his oni heritage while retaining human empathy. His climactic confrontation with the creator of the oni realm resolves the time paradox, freeing his mother's soul and dismantling the demonic dimension.

In the aftermath, Jiro returns to his adoptive parents in the present. Senki leads surviving oni to colonize another planet, while Goki departs to the past to found a bloodline that later yields Jiro's allies. Though companions perish during the conflicts, Jiro achieves reconciliation with his dual identity, living peacefully alongside Miyuki and his restored family. His journey concludes with acceptance of his origins without sacrificing his humanity.
