Ryûichi Watanabe, a bespectacled Emperor High School student, serves as a key enforcer in Hinako Shiratori’s delinquent faction opposing Ganpachi Chabane’s authoritarian reforms. Sporting wire-rimmed glasses, he operates as Hinako’s loyal lieutenant, engaging in reckless schemes to destabilize Ganpachi’s regime. During an initial clash, Watanabe teams with Kansuke Matsuri in a humiliating ambush targeting Ganpachi’s dignity, only to uncover the disciplinarian’s ludicrously layered undergarments—a tactical misstep that seals their defeat.

Undeterred, Watanabe later shadows Hinako to a convenience store, where rival gang leader Dwai Kan-Chen ambushes them. The brutal assault leaves Watanabe and Matsuri battered but alive, their desperate pleas compelling Hinako to reignite her rebellion against Ganpachi.
