Television producer Saeko Ninomiya leads a documentary crew to Onibi Island, investigating the mysterious seclusion of former movie star Setsuko Ohara. Their arrival coincides with escalating supernatural disturbances tied to Ohara's possession by Lady Yomi, a vengeful spirit from the 16th century. During the investigation, Ninomiya suffers a violent supernatural assault within the island mansion, stripped nude and violated by an invisible entity as paranormal threats intensify against her team and resident psychics.

Ninomiya offers an alternate interpretation of Lady Yomi's history, contradicting the protagonist Kujaku's account. She asserts Yomi was betrayed and discarded by Tokugawa Ieyasu, not inherently monstrous. Ninomiya further claims Ohara discovered Yomi's spirit within a treasure ship and sympathetically offered sanctuary, inadvertently enabling the curse due to Yomi's unresolved attachment to life. Her narrative frames both Yomi and Ohara as victims of patriarchal authority figures, providing a contrasting perspective to the main exorcist protagonists' understanding of the supernatural conflict.
