Loredana Nicosia is an Italian voice actress and dubbing director, born in Milan on May 9, 1964. She comes from a family with a strong legacy in voice acting; she is the niece of actor and voice actor Renato Izzo and a cousin of the four Izzo sisters, Rossella, Simona, Fiamma, and Giuppy, who are also voice actresses.

Nicosia began her career at the age of seventeen in 1981, when she moved to Rome to study voice acting under the guidance of her uncle, Renato Izzo. In the mid-1990s, she returned to Milan, where she continued her work as a voice actress and also took on the role of a dubbing director. In Milan, she has been active with major dubbing studios, including Yamato Video, Dynit, and Merak Film, where she served as the artistic director until the company closed in 2020.

While Nicosia is renowned for dubbing numerous live-action film and television actresses, her contribution to the world of anime is extensive. Her voice is featured in a wide array of series and films. Some of her notable anime roles include the Narrator in the series Before Green Gables, Zucchero (Margarita) in the film Swan Lake, Psychogenie in Go Nagai World, Saeko Ninomiya in Spirit Warrior, Silver Iczel in Iczelion, and Emeraude in Rayearth. She is also well-known for voicing Emeraude in the various Magic Knight Rayearth series, Kaho Mizuki in Cardcaptor Sakura, Juri Arisugawa in Revolutionary Girl Utena, Shizuru Kuwabara in Yu Yu Hakusho, and multiple characters across the Sailor Moon franchise. Her roles extend to other popular titles such as Deep Blue in Tokyo Mew Mew, Shiho Miyano and Vermouth in Detective Conan, and Leila in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.

In addition to her work as a voice actress, Loredana Nicosia has had a significant career as a dubbing director, overseeing the Italian adaptations of numerous anime series. Her directorial credits include long-running and popular shows such as Detective Conan, One Piece (for episodes 1-452), Ojamajo Doremi and its sequels, Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch, Sugar Sugar Rune, and Tokyo Mew Mew. This dual role as both performer and director has established her as a prominent and influential figure in the Italian dubbing industry for anime.
