She first appears during a military operation in Kosmar, fleeing Zafrin forces and encountering Lean. Initially hostile and threatening him at gunpoint over fears he seeks her bounty, their dynamic shifts into an uneasy alliance as fugitives traversing hostile lands. This evolves into mutual reliance and eventually a romantic connection.

Her heritage is significant as a descendant of Kei Katsuragi and Mimsy Laarz from the original Orguss conflict, inheriting mixed human and Emaan ancestry. This lineage accounts for her distinct physiological traits, notably psychic tendrils located on her forehead instead of the back like traditional Emaan. These tendrils provide advanced psychic powers, including sensory perception and neural interfacing. Her genetic link to ancient dimensional instability renders her crucial for resolving the current crisis.

Her abilities become essential when she psychically links with Lean after he is permanently blinded, using her tendrils to guide his vision and actions. This connection proves vital during their joint piloting of the Orguss II mecha. Her role culminates in assisting Captain Taii's plan to detonate a dimensional oscillation bomb, requiring her unique capacity to "fathom the universe" to calibrate the device across timelines. The bomb's activation removes all extradimensional elements, including the Decimators.
