Kawai prioritizes Earth's protection above all else, driven by an unwavering belief in defending their home planet. This core conviction shapes her actions and sets her apart from fellow warriors who may have differing motivations.

She plays a key role in attempting to persuade Nagisa to join the Iczelions' battle. Kawai also reveals the origin and purpose of the Iczels, explaining they were created by Iczers to combat malevolent machine life forms spawned from Big Gold.
