Description
Derick Ross is a former police investigator who partnered with Douglas Billingham in the Seven-O special criminal investigation unit. A gunshot wound sustained during an active case forced his retirement from the force. Ross then transitioned to civilian life, establishing and operating his own bar.

As bar owner and bartender, Ross struggles as a businessman. His establishment primarily serves canned and frozen food instead of fresh meals. Patronage remains minimal, largely limited to members of his former Seven-O unit.

Ross maintains connections with his old colleagues, who form his regular clientele. Valery Vrubel, Kirill Vrubel's older brother, works at the bar. Valery previously concealed his identity by cross-dressing as Kirill's sister "Milla," a deception lasting much of Kirill's life until its exposure at Ross's establishment.

Physically, Ross is an adult male with shoulder-length black hair. His eye color is documented as both brown and violet.

The bar serves as a significant narrative location where Kirill Vrubel discovers Valery's true identity and gender presentation, encountering Valery in the men's restroom. This revelation directly impacts Kirill's personal history and motivations; Valery's earlier disappearance while presenting as Milla had influenced Kirill's decision to join the police.

Ross's bar functions as an occasional gathering point for Seven-O investigators, sustaining his link to their activities despite his departure from active duty.
