Description
Yatta La Kernagul is a blue-skinned synthetic human serving as one of three chief officers under antagonist NeoNeros within the Docooga organization during the original conflict. He possesses auburn hair, yellow eyes, stands 2.01 meters tall, and weighs 148 kilograms. Kernagul harbors a recurring ambition to establish fast-food chains named "Kernagul's Fried Chicken" and "KerDonald's," a goal he pursues with humorous persistence. He maintains a personal robot companion named Kerna, primarily used for boxing practice during frustration, though Kerna later gains significant narrative importance.
Initially aligned with Docooga, Kernagul aids in efforts to seize Beamler energy technology. During a critical confrontation against a mutual threat capable of catastrophic destruction, he forms a necessary alliance with the opposing GoShogun team. This cooperation solidifies into permanent defection, with Kernagul and two fellow generals switching sides to help defeat NeoNeros. Post-conflict, he successfully establishes his fast-food franchises.
Forty years later in the sequel film, Kernagul reunites with former allies at the hospital bedside of comatose Remy Shimada. Trapped within Remy’s subconscious, they confront a surreal town governed by fatalistic prophecies. Kernagul battles hostile townspeople and a monstrous entity symbolizing death, demonstrating resilience and loyalty. He fights back-to-back with Suegni Cuttnal against overwhelming forces and contributes to defying predetermined fates to ensure Remy’s survival.
His characterization consistently merges imposing physicality with comedic entrepreneurial aspirations, yet reveals underlying loyalty and camaraderie, particularly through enduring bonds with the team decades after their shared history.
