As pilot of the King Arrow jet, which formed GoShogun's chest component, he frequently led the three pilots in combat.

Forty years later, he reunited with former allies and enemies at Remy Shimada's hospital bedside following her accident, highlighting the lasting bonds from their past conflicts. Manifestations of Shingo appeared within Remy's comatose subconscious struggles, depicted at his prime age alongside the team trapped in a surreal desert city facing a death prophecy. He actively worked to defy fate within this psychological landscape representing Remy's internal battle.

His relationship with Kenta Sanada, son of GoShogun's creator, involved mentorship; he trained Kenta as his co-pilot aboard Good Thunder.
